Le Crottin de Chavignol comes from the old Berry village of the same name installed in the middle of the vineyards.
It is rare for a wine and a cheese to have the same name.
This is the case of Chavignol which is both a cru from the Sancerre appellation and a cheese.
The grass that gave the milk, like the grapes from which the wine is made, come from the same territory.
Wine suggestion: White Sancerre.
